Protection of criminal victims
During the last 6 months, AWEN has been defending 19 victims of criminal offenses in the District Courts. All cases have experienced crimes of gender-based violence against them and their family members.
From October to December 2022, AWEN implemented a training cycle at the workplace for State Police employees. The objective of these trainings was to enhance and strengthen the capacities of State Police personnel in various areas, including the legal framework concerning Gender-Based Violence and Domestic Violence, interrogation and standard investigation procedures, drafting evaluation reports, immediate protective measures for victims of violence, informing victims about their rights, court decisions, available legal protections, and inter-institutional cooperation for the prevention and handling of domestic violence cases.

AWEN was part of the protest organized on March 8 on International Women's Rights Day against social injustices and inequalities.

On December 7, 2022, the presentation activity of the study 'Sexual violence and sexual harassment - An analysis of the situation', carried out by AWEN, took place.
