Albanian Women’s Empowerment Network for years has been implementing different projects with the support and cooperation of stakeholders that play an important role in the field of women’s rights in Albania, such as, the Ministry of Social Welfare and Youth, Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Albanian Parliament, Education Departments in 8 Albanian districts where members of the network work, the municipalities of Tirana, Durrës, Shkodra, Vlora, Elbasan, Saranda, Peshkopi and Pogradec, national and international donors such as Sida – Swedish International Development Agency, Kvinna Till Kvinna, AMSHC, OSCE, IOM, USAID.

Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) is supporting AWEN in addressing the phenomena of sexual violence against women and girls in Albania through national level advocacy at central level, capacity building of stakeholders and information dissemination among youth and community. This initiatives will be supported from August 2020 to February 2021.

The project will be implemented in Durrës, Elbasan, Vlora, Shkodra – 4 regions of Albania in partnership with Gender Alliance for development Center and National Counselling Line for Girls and Women.
