Protection of criminal victims
During the last 6 months, AWEN has been defending 19 victims of criminal offenses in the District Courts. All cases have experienced crimes of gender-based violence against them and their family members.

ADVOCACY MEETINGS IN GERMANY
Ines Leskaj, executive director of the Women's Empowerment Network in Albania - AWEN was part of the advocacy meetings in Germany, organized every year by The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation. Leskaj also met with the Special Representative of the German Government for the countries of the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin, and the topic of discussion was women's rights in the region and the EU integration process.
The meeting on September 27, 2023 in Berlin was the second to take place, while a delegation from partner organizations from 6 countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia) was part of it.
International Women's Rights Day
AWEN was part of the protest organized on March 8 on International Women's Rights Day against social injustices and inequalities.
