Protection of criminal victims
During the last 6 months, AWEN has been defending 19 victims of criminal offenses in the District Courts. All cases have experienced crimes of gender-based violence against them and their family members.
Members of the AWEN network gathered at the beginning of November 2023 for a three-day retreat in the wonderful nature of Këlcyra, which had their physical and emotional well-being at its core.
The retreat program focused on strengthening the solidarity, support and organic connection of women members of the network with each other. For AWEN, it is essential to support the well-being of members, as well as to create a safe space where experiences are shared and synergy is developed.
The retreat was held at the "Grand Albanik" farm, an enterprise managed by women passionate about sustainable agritourism and rural development, who have become an important link in the area's development chain.
The retreat was enriched even more by Deni Sanxhaku, who created a safe space by dedication and bringing new holistic practices, aimed at the well-being and empowerment of women.
