
Protection of criminal victims
During the last 6 months, AWEN has been defending 19 victims of criminal offenses in the District Courts. All cases have experienced crimes of gender-based violence against them and their family members.
"Protection and promotion of the rights of women and girls in Albania"
Implementation period: January 2019 - December 2022

This program has had three main components: (a) advocacy and lobbying at the national and international level for the protection and promotion of women's rights; (b) institutional development/organizational strengthening of AWEN and its members; (c) providing support to AWEN members in order to provide specialized services, organize sensitization and advocacy initiatives, as well as build capacities to protect and improve women's rights.
Through this intervention it has been achieved:
"Supporting municipalities in analyzing and adopting new models/schemes for the socio-economic integration of survivors of domestic violence and gender-based violence"

Through this intervention it has been achieved:
Greater capacities of municipalities in the treatment of survivors of domestic violence and gender-based violence, evidenced through the drafting of (4) socio-economic integration plans and the training of (80) local actors about the development and implementation of the plans socio-economic integration.
Improving access to services for survivors of violence in the municipalities of Durrës, Elbasan, Shkodra and Vlora, evidenced through the cases treated.
"Protection and promotion of women's rights in Albania"

This program aimed to improve the position and situation of women in relation to their rights in Albania, through financial support for AWEN member organizations.
During the last 6 months, AWEN has been defending 19 victims of criminal offenses in the District Courts. All cases have experienced crimes of gender-based violence against them and their family members.
AWEN was part of the protest organized on March 8 on International Women's Rights Day against social injustices and inequalities.
Open forum "Together towards sustainable peace" There is no time to lose for the implementation of the Women, Peace, Security Agenda! Rights cannot and should not be taken for granted!
On December 7, 2022, the presentation activity of the study 'Sexual violence and sexual harassment - An analysis of the situation', carried out by AWEN, took place.
